A Bad Economy Doesn’t Mean You Have to Give Up Your Coffee
Money is tight and we’re working more than ever. So what do we do when it comes to making sacrifices and adjustments to our daily lives? We either cut back on buying certain things or stop buying them all together. But that doesn’t have to be the case with coffee.
Our cars may run on gas, but many of us run on coffee. It’s a regular part of our lives and we can’t just cut it out all together. Let’s face it, there would be a lot more angry and tired people out there to deal with and none of us want that. So here are some ways to keep the great taste of coffee in your life without spending as much on it.
- Buy coffee in bulk and try to make it at home.
- Take a thermos of coffee with you when you go to work.
- Break the Starbucks habit. Find a corner store or a gas station along your daily commute that sells good coffee at half the price.
- If your place of work has free coffee, drink it. It’s a perk that you’ve earned.
- Visit your parents more often, they will love to have coffee with you!
- Give yourself a “total cups per day” limit and stick to it.
- Keep your spare change in a jar, then use it once in a while just for coffee.
- Work part time as a barista: you’ll have all the coffee you need!
I’m a little hesitant to suggest another way to save on coffee, but here goes.
Look for places that offer free coffee. Many big retail places(i.e. car dealerships) have coffee there for you while you are waiting. You take advantage of it and stop in for a few minutes…trust me, they won’t have a clue. To be fair you should spend some time looking at whatever deals they are offering.
That’s it: great ways to keeping your coffee mojo going in a down economy.
